Here are 10 things Proverbs 31 Taught Me About Being a Virtuous Woman:

1.Faith in God:

A virtuous woman loves the Lord, serves and seeks Him with her whole heart. She fears the Lord and honors God in everything she does.

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Proverbs 31: 30

2. Marriage:

A virtuous woman is an exceptional wife. She respects and honors her husband, she is trustworthy and a blessing to her husband. Her husband praises/compliments her.

Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.She brings him good, not harm,all the days of her life. Proverbs 31: 11- 12

Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. Proverbs 31:28

3. Motherhood:

A virtuous woman is a loving, caring mother and her children call her blessed. She trains her children with faithful instruction. She works hard and is very involved in the affairs of her household.

4. Wisdom:

She is a wise woman, people come to her for advice and she gives wise/faithful instruction and counsel.

5. Homemaker:

Taking care of her home is her priority, she makes sure she prepares food for her family, works (with her hands) to care for the family, (physically, mentally and spiritually).


6. Stewardship:

Whether she works (has a job/business) or not, she is a good steward of the profit/finances that she has. She economizes and does her best to spend wisely. She works hard and whatever gift she has, she can use it to help provide for her family.


7. Giving:

She is a giver. She loves to serve others. She lends to those in need, if anyone needs assistance, they know where to come to.


8. Planner:

A virtuous woman plans ahead. She thinks about the future and she prepares for tomorrow, so that her family need not worry.


9. Priceless:

A virtuous woman can be hard to find, any man that finds a virtuous woman finds a woman whose worth can not be measured. She is a blessing (to her husband and those around her) and not a curse. She is favored in everything she does and everywhere she goes.


10. Positive Attitude:She has a positive, optimistic attitude. She doesn’t fear for the future, but welcomes what is to come. She is highly esteemed and honored.
